Wormhole is a cross chain network that allows you to move ether between different block chains. It's not just token movement, it can also be messages and data. There are now eight layer ones in use with more being added every couple of weeks. Worm hole was created by certis one who wrote the first lines of code for worm hole. The company has been working on this project since february 2014.
