Iikeit: Is technology creating that? Or is it amplifying something already within us? Or how is that happening? You know, it's hard to know whether the the media and technologies that emerge emerge because of a pre existing cultural affordance for that thing. So i would say both kind of affect each other. But what you have to do then is like, so you get, we get what we asked for, right? We got our post god nician computer, automated soul killing, auto tuning technology. And now, ok, how do we mitigate some of that? How do we retrieve that which is being left behind in this new environment?"

Rushkoff is an author, professor, and documentarian who focuses on the ways people, culture, and institutions create, share and influence each other's values. He is the author of 17 books including the 2019 release Team Human, and he is a Professor of Media Theory and Digital Economics at CUNY/Queens.
