The North Pond Hermit

"I have taken off my hiking and never felt better. Do what's so crazy is you get old enough and you look back on like your heroes and you were like, oh, you were unwell," he says. "This man just needed to know that his sense of self worth was defined beyond what he was able to produce." He didn't even know the name of the pond until after all this. The pond is named North Pond. Even while he was a Hermit, he was dubbed the North Pond Hermit.
