Capitalism is seen as a repository of raw material stuff that we can just take, funnel into production and use up. We're also ignoring all of these questions about how public power, the power of states, global financial and political institutions are organized. And then, as you say, a use it to be used also as a dumpster, as just a place to dump a waste of which we generate an enormous amount.
