The Debate Between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter
People were complaining at the end of those debates that the serious candidates didn't get enough airtime. We would probably all be better off if they were allowed to fully flesh out their perspectives in a public forum, he says. Of course, that's not what the debates are anymore. They used to be that and I'm going to throw a link in the show notes to the Gerald Ford Jimmy Carter debate, which I point too often. It's really instructive to see how far the debates have fallen from back then.
