The Hornet light has been reportedly appearing nightly for over a hundred years. The locals say the best time to see it is later in the evening between 10 and midnight. Some believers will tell you that the headlight explanation or the billboard explanation are just easily dismissed because the light was seen years before automobiles or billboards were made.
