The Lord's Supper, a Meal on the Beach

The meal invokes the loaves and fishes of the feeding of the five thousand. Jesus is inviting peter to to a very, very unique and intimate meal. The scene was heavy with the overtones of eden and god walking through the garden. We don't know if peter grasped how jesus's threefold commission went head to head with his threefold denial.
