The Salt and Sea in the Martian Basaltic Soil
The salt deposits were discovered by the mars reconnaissance orbiter in 2,000 and 8th century. The salts don'tle they're left behind as a sort of crust on the surface. They seem to be kind of like crusts, just like you'd sort of get a e salt crust, but on a slightly larger scale.
