The Importance of Formal Education in the Design Industry
I don't think diplomas are that important however just like you said there are some parts of the industry some demographics maybe some companies that require that you have a design background. If you want to learn and prepare yourself for an actual experience practicing experience working for a company for a business I don't think that a design education will be the best way to go. It's really it's about you trying to keep pursuing and trying to become better it's your responsibility it's not responsibility of the teachers in university to tell you what to do.
