Building the Seven Gates of Thebes

i think it's really helpful in a built environment context to do that layers exercise for the actual sight. Any door that can be opened into thinking about the longer history of any given sight is really, really talking about constant cycles of demolition. I was remembering that i was a teen age in hong kong and buildings went up and they were down within 20 years. And just reminds me of a lovely breched poem called a worker reads history. He said, who built the seven gates of thebes? Was it the kings who hauled the craggy blocks of stone? But i think it reminds us to remember everything that created the present.
