The Limits to Growth report of the 1970s focused on running out of stuff. For me, the concern is that by mining and burning fossil fuel, we destabilize the balance systems on which life depends. I really think there's this rising generation of young people who are profound climate leaders. They know that ultimately it's Earth who delivers, and she delivers for us every day.
As the UK and other countries around the world grapple with a bleak economic forecast and the creeping effects of climate change, the debate over economic growth and its role in our economies has come into sharp focus.
