Casinos and the Salt Flats

The Bonneville Salt Flats are a vast expanse of salt-encrusted earth located in the desert of Northwestern Utah. Until 14,500 years ago, what is now Wendover was deep underwater in Lake Bonneville,. The lake has disappeared and reformed a couple dozen times over the last 500 million years. It's less than a tenth as great as LakeBonneville once was.
