Is Your Efficiency Improving?

It's an interesting concept if you try to think about it in real life. You can see straight away out on the road, who is experienced and who isn't, just by their technique. And then you look at someone who has learnt a good technique from a beginner who's only been riding three or four weeks or six weeks or six months. The other reasons for improved technique are improved power output and fatigue resistance. Those are perhaps the greater reasons why you might want to improve someone's pedaling technique. But although their efficiency may only change a couple of percent, it's not telling the whole story because efficiency is captured in a small window.
