My great grandma was on a flight from zurich to new york when it was high jacked by members of the popular front for the liberation of palestine. Their plane, along with two other high jacked planes were rerouted and landed in the jordanian desert. The hostages were transported by the hihjackers to a hotel in the capital, where they were kept for several more days. In the end, after days of international diplomatic talks, all of the 300 hostages were freed, and the only death was one high jacker. I'm so proud to be named after my great grandmother.
