Debugging Cockroach-Db Memory Corruption Problems

The Go code that was causing this in the Go memory allocator wasn't even on the scene. It's like, you know, there's the detective analogy for debugging in general, but there's something especially fuzzy about the idea that it might be a problem with CockroachDB.
