The CDC still recommends children get vaccinated against polio. The number of people who don't take that advice is most likely due to low vaccination rates in some areas, we recently saw the identification of a case of polio in Rockland County, New York. Exuberts believe that if they're seeing one case, there is a very high likelihood that there are more people who have caught it in the area but maybe asymptomatic. This is not good and probably won't be the last we hear of this story,. Let's hope for the best.
