When I'm writing, which for me mostly means revising, you know, sitting with a page in front of me and a pen or pencil to make corrections. And that ruminating thing really goes way down. My mind gets very quiet. So it's not exactly quiet minded there is something going on you're making decisions. You're also at speed. It's some version some wordless version of this thought. What does that do to what came before and what came after? "Oh yeah that's better that's much better" says the author. 'I just feel refreshed when I come off the page and I feel kind of quiet minded more than usual,' he adds.
