The prosecution's case against jack boyle was strong, but it was almost entirely circumstantial. The prosecution knew their best chance of getting a conviction was to put 12 year old collier on the stand. During his entire testimony, jack refused to even look in his son's direction. All eyes were on collier as he unpacked and unloaded the heaviness he'd experienced and witnessed as an innocent child to a bitter divorce.
