How to Resurrect the Christmas Island Rat
Researchers were trying to recreate the christmas island rat, which went extinct in the early twentieth century. Serchas found it was impossible to create many of the key gens needed to resurrect the animals. This includes some gens related to the rats sense of smell. So why is the sense of smell important for resurrecting an animal? Is it because they would eat poisonous food by accident or c, rats are blind, so they need smell to navigate.
