The Importance of Face in China's Chip Industry
There's this term in Chinese called Guanxi and it basically means to give face. You know, maybe that's a little bit of what China's trying to do here. It can't smack down a company the size of Apple. So maybe it's China's way of saving face until it can do more. And I think that's key because we don't see everything the Beijing is doing. We don't see how it's preparing for Apple to diversify further away from one China strategy.
