Is There a Relationship Between Frankfurt School Critical Theory and Post-Colonial Theory?

I didn't set out to write a book that was going to be about the intersection of Frankfurt School critical theory and post-colonial theory. So I think that, again, the way that it came about was sort of more organic. But in the Frankfurt School literature, what we're really talking about is whether or not it makes sense to read history in terms of progress. And then it struck me that posing the question in that way requires a kind of confrontation with a post-colonial critique of progress.
