Crunchyroll and the Anime Industry as a Whole

Crunchyroll was set up by a group of college friends to give every anime fan access to the most East Asian video content possible. After their merger with Funimation and Sony, they were able to start producing their own content and hired their very own employees for the job. Almost immediately after the $1.2 billion deal came to fruition, several voice actors began to come forward on Twitter to discuss their seemingly horrific pay rate and unfair treatment under the company. Some voice actors claimed that they were paid as $150 to dub the hit movie, Jujitsu Kaisen Zero.
