The Interaction Problem
I'm not completely opposed to substance dualism, mainly because I think it is by far the best metaphysical framework for understanding near-death experiences. As soon as you invoke Aristotelian IV causes, you're into a highly morphic metaphysics, which takes you out of Cartesian physics. So I can't solve the interaction problem without denying the validity of Descartes' understanding of the world.
