Foucault's Diskursivity and the Apparatus

Foucault's discursivity orders the discourse. It produces by reference to normativity. The individual is always described in terms of his possible or real divergence from something no longer defined as the good perfection or virtue, but as the normal. This norm, which we know full well at this time is not necessarily the average, is in a way, not a notion, but a condition of exercise of this discursivity within which sequestrated individuals are caught.
