Private information retrieval is super interesting if you abbreviated its PIR. This has not been extremely practical when you were considering the cryptographic variants of it, because they had non-colluding servers. But now you have a single server holding an entire database and you can already query it privately. And this opens up use cases such as light client privacy. Today is a light client when you let's use a wallet with MetaMask or any other wallet. Then if you're not running on your own phone node, you're giving away a lot of your activity before making a transaction to some other node.
