The Department of Education and the Department of Veterans Affairs

We were a much better educated nation before we had a Department of Education. We didn't spend nearly as much money on an educational bureaucracy. Get rid of Homeland Security and merge it back in to the Defense Department, which is where it belongs. I don't think we need a Department of Veterans Affairs until 1989.
