Darren Hill answered a question for us in a film school because they had asked us a question before. I often find musicians want to act in their own videos there's no budget and this is full of challenges yes so let's talk about normal not actors, he said. Darren Hill: Musicians also view themselves as equal creative artists and so when they are in the video and trying to be directed this was the thing I observed more when I was a DP in a gaffer watching like directors and musicians struggle where I was like oh my god the amount of pushback from musicians about what they will and will not do for like for a video where they approved the creative was just wild.
