Is FMRI Really a Messy Technique?

There's so much variability because we don't yet understand the variability of people as opposed to just FMRI as a messy technique. And then there's big variability between different subjects as well. This is a real problem for the development of say, you know, biomarkers. The closest I guess we've got is the kind of the amyloid beta and tau proteins built up in pet studies of Alzheimer's and things like that.
