The Role of Government in Social Change
Some of these quote leaders that we've been talking about were actually leading the charge against this change. They were largely reactionary. A lot of labor laws, for instance, came into effect specifically to keep as an example of black labor out of certain markets. But by and large, when you look at the sorts of things that change the social fabric, well, you find that social fabric doesn't change overnight. That's a glacial change that happens through culture.
