We had a mosque right next to our house, and i grew up listening to the misans called from childhood. We never did that though. Why we were not initiated into religion? Probably because my grandfather himself had a very laidback attitude to islam. Through he was very diligent with his prayers and used to go to the mosque whenever he could. So his children didn't force their kids to do anything. It was left in a very laid back, easy manner.
