The Warring Sides of Data

No one really no one doubts that there are warring sides of data here. No lay person and probably no honest expert could get to the bottom of any of it. The problem is both can make appeals to evidence. And the evidence they find is largely online. Much of it seems scientific. Nowadays, it can all be generated by chat GPT and look scientific, even as it's footnoting fake articles and stuff.
