Leon Black Denies the Allegation of Rape
The alleged rape in 2002 was so long ago that it falls outside the usual statute of limitation for bringing a case. Sherry Pearson has been able to use New York's Adult Survivors Act, which came into force in November 2022 and gave people who said they were victims one year to start a case. If the case against Leon Black does proceed, it's unlikely to get anywhere near court until 2024.
