The Importance of Cottonwood Park in the Short Creek Area
Shortly after my son was born, then Fred just passed away and my sister had filed this missing persons report. My mother reached out one day and let us know just out of the blue that she was going to be in town for Fred's funeral. It was also her way of trying to get us to clean up the missing persons report that was there. I remember driving back into short creek and this was the first time I had been back since I had left. And it took everything I had to stay calm because the PTSD that was coming up is so massive.
