What Did the European Central Banks Do in the Great Recession?
The Fed had official mandate to focus on employment. They kind of just, I don't want to say fully ignored it, but they deprioritize that heavily. It's actually very funny right now because I think we were entering an opposite phase where people want central banks to do a lot of things. And then people tack on like in New Zealand, there's now a home price mandate and there would be like environmental mandates.
