2nd Maccabees chapter 7 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. It's because of the faithfulness and just remarkable. The witness of these seven brothers and their mom is not simply to eat bacon, but they are so bold that they are unwilling to compromise. In 1st Maccabee it was all about warriors; we're going to get to that here in 2nd Maccabees too. But first let's look at a few verses from Proverbs 24-29: "Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause"
