Why Mexico Isn't as Rich as the United States

The most common measure for comparing wealth between nations is per capita gross domestic product. GDP measures the value of a nation's output in terms of goods produced and services rendered. Per capita GDP in Mexico is nine thousand five hundred and ten dollars, that compares to the US which is about fifty one thousand six hundred and thirty eight dollars. And so what that means is that Mexican workers earn less than their US counterparts because each Mexican worker produces less goods and services per hour worked.
