Creating a Creative Environment

I think it's really important that creators have control over the aesthetics of their environment. And can change it to their tastes. Even for something as simple as a settings panel, you shouldbe able to put it where you want to place it. I don't believe that in my heart, but maybe that's because i'm incentivized not to believe it, because i enjoy building tools for people to think and create.
