The Problem With Adoption in America
It's assumed that people who were adopted do have the right to discover who their parents were if they so choose later in life. What's really interesting about a lot of that though is that they have rights in America using American standards, not necessarily in the place they come from. So it is like an export of a certain kind of individualism that might not come easily in other places.
