The Patronage Theory of Politics
There's a whole new infrastructure that needs to be swapped in, not just on the medical side, but remember it there these people are writing books. All of a sudden this thing just goes from being surgeries and these people making lots of money into an entire industry spread out across every aspect of our culture. And all that filters back to people who are supporting a specific ideological political side. It is always both the material motivations and the ideological motivations. They work hand in hand, they feed back to each other right it's a closed feedback loop that accelerates this kind of stuff.
