The Struggle to Live in the Church
I was brought up to believe that God had a plan for every moment of your life. But in my 20s, I started to see more and more people doing amazing things despite having their religion at all. And then the whole world view about a God sending his son to die for everyone else's sins seemed less and less plausible. So all these things sort of gradually became just harder and harder to reconcile. Then I said, I can't do it anymore.
