The East Indian by Charles Dickens Madison
We're going to recommend a couple of great books to pick up when you stop in for your copy of the East Indian. I chose David Copperfield by Charles Dickens because it has a main character who has a worldview that allows for some hope. The story takes place in China in 1345 under Mongol rule and is about two siblings not sisters siblings. We love Shelley Parker Chan's She Who became the son, she writes with such imagery we could all stand a little dose of that.
