Methadone Maintenance
Methadone is an amazing medication for treating opiate use disorder. It's effect on cravings can last up to a day or over a day, but it's effect on pain is much more short-acting. I would go to the person and ask, how do you feel about splitting up your dose? Sometimes we find that for people that helps more with pain and think about splitting up their current dose into like TID dosing.
