The Mainstream View of Economic Growth
Is this the mainstream view in economics regarding economic growth? I don't think we're there yet, or perhaps we're right now at the transition point. The high level pattern of population growth is roughly that population growth rates are proportional to population itself. So obviously that can't continue. Around 1960, that relationship between population size and population growth rate broke.
