The Will to Believe

Clifford: There was a period of transition where I could move back and forth at will in the duck rabbit fashion. His evidence under determined what he would believe, his evidence didn't point him one way or the other. My proposal is that winner evidence doesn't tell us what to believe, pragmatic reasons do. They can break the tie and they can help us decide what to believe.
