The Mode of Critique in Middle Class Academic Life

I think that the this mode of critique can paradoxically re-inscribed middle class distinction, rather than supply the kinds of insights that we would need to actually undo them. And so in that context, you know, and I think about this a lot too in our own context of like roughly middle class academic life. kind of empower people or spur the imagination toward new kinds of futures again. But was a kind of critical practice a kind of discursive practice that often ended up as an alibi for not re-imagining how we distribute resources for example.
