A Family Man by v S Pritchett

The story appeared in the new yorker in november of 19 77. The primary engine of pritchett's comedy is obviously his aculous and deeply weird dialogue. He always has these kind of vaguely stock situations, a very particular england is depicted. But he does so with his kind of a deranged, light comic touch. In this story, i thin what i love very much about it is its there's the sense of a long a relay in n a tennis match.
