The Fed's Stress Test on the Financial System
Jay Parini: There's tremendous stress in the financial system right now. It hasn't bubbled over, we don't have stories of hedge funds blowing up or massive losses that are debilitating firms because of the bond market. But what we've got is just this tremendous amount of stress and I don't think the system has been designed for this yet. If rates continue to go in this direction, there's going to be real problems that are bubbling up now," he says.
