The Tension of a Tale
Mr. Beetle had grown accustomed to the fawning devotees who faithfully attended his weekly storytimes. He'd fallen into a comfortable groove with his storytelling methods, capable of raising the tension in a tail until it was as taut as a fiddle string during a cold snap. When all of a sudden, Old Mr. Beetle smiled expansively, taking in the view of his adoring audience on the 25th branch. A tower of young bugs towards the back teetered, nearly toppling over with anticipation. Behind them, Mr. Beetle's neighbor and friend, Gwen, a beetle herself, worked the music player.
