The Tension Between the Developed and the Developing Countries

Developed countries have put a lot of the carbon that's in the atmosphere in the atmosphere as a by product of their own growth. This was a much bigger issue a decade ago or 20 years ago, when most developing countries would say it was morally reprehensible to demand poor countries stay poor. India is the most important hold out on that, and under, particularly under modi, the current prime minister has taken quite a strident stance. Almost all other developing countries are singing from the same song sheet where they say, look, we can already see the effects of climate change.
