The Views of the Mountains in Kyoto

Starting around Shijo and then going north is, in my opinion, when this area of Kyoto becomes really nice. You've got these nice old buildings on your left as you walk north along the Kamo River. There are mountains on three sides of Kyoto, the north, the east and the west. The reason we're in Kyoto is we met my cousin who's only 18 years old; she took a school trip to Japan.
